Running around Eorzea always makes me feel kinda sad because, while 1.0 was a gigantic shitshow, I can appreciate what it tried to do and what we lost in 2.0.
Man, Eorzea as a huge seamless open world would be fucking amazing. Imagine hopping on your chocobo and flying from one part of the world to the other w/out loading screens (or miles and miles of dead zone). And, with the sky and seas you could do so much cool area exploration.
I don’t hate 2.0 for being what it is it just makes me sad because the world in xiv is so pretty it’s a shame we don’t really get to explore it

I never heard of the term before now. But, cursory googling seems like it’d count so long as it includes traps in it.
It doesn’t really have to be an all or nothing sort of thing. There can be some stuff in the genre that overlaps with trap stuff and other that doesn’t.
