The retcons have only been small things but the issue overall is that they’re is very little connective tissue in general. There is a lot of stuff but not a lot of story.
And the retcons will probably only get worse if they ever actually do make a story.

They might have, I've just been paying too much attention to Marvel lol, I think some dumb stuff happened with the G.I joe comics too like making Snake eyes trans, rather you make a new character than change an existing character for the sake of 'representation' but that is just me.
