Hey Lili, I've a bit of an odd question. One guy in my dnd table really likes your art style, but as regular commissions are closed indefinitely, I wanted to ask: Can wing-its be used for a party portrait? Or how does one get around to getting a birthday present like that done? Its not currently pressing, I'm more just curious.

I’m gonna end my patreon. It’s really taxing on me to complete all the images I owe for the month and I honestly don’t feel like I’m doing it right at all.
I’m looking into how to do it but still get the rewards for this month to everyone. I think, I’ll just pause it for now and then end it when the month rolls over.
Not really sure where to look, um, are your $60 and $100 patreon options a once-a-month thing or one-and-done?

I’m just gonna be honest and say yeah, I needed to make a post asking for possible donations. Moving into the new house ended up costing like, a good thousand dollars more than expected as well as paying people back for their help along the way. Doesn’t help that my commissions kind of dried up.
Asking for donations to pretty much just get some basic groceries to last for the next week since, and this seems to be a recurring theme, I really underestimated how long things would last lol so no worries that I’m gonna go blowing the money on hookers or booze
Though I am willing and offering to pay people back next week, too, if they like because I don’t want to be a complete leech
and on top of that I’ll be streaming in a short bit to at least be entertaining in exchange for help. I was thinking Metal Gear Rising or Monster Hunter or something, not sure yet
Anyway, I apologize I’ve had to beg for help so much these last months orz Things will stabilize soon! Just.. huge life changing move is, and I’m not being sarcastic or anything here, way more expensive than I thought it’d be lol

Listen I didn’t tell them to wait for the Tsukihime remake I just said until the remake happens (which it will it’s just probably won’t be for like 10 more years) the OG VN is the best bet.
ey lili, i want to get into the type-moon series, would you recommend me to watch the anime first? or play that VN game? or the mobile game everyone is playing? and why are there so many versions of that blonde woman with a ponytail? (saber i think was her name)
AnonymousWell, first, do you want to get into Type-Moon or get into Fate? Because they’re is a difference there because Type-moon has a bigger universe and Fate is one part of it. You just don’t see the other parts as often because Fate is their cash cow they’ll milk till it’s dust.
Now, if you wanna get into Tsukihime the OG VN is basically the only way until the remake. For KnK I’d recommend the movies over the LN. I’d also recommend KnK over Tsukihime due to how old it is.
Now I’m assuming you’re actually more interested Fate in that case the absolute best way to get into Fate is through Fate/Grand Order because it’s free.
If you’re more interested in anime to watch then Fate/Zero, Fate/Stay Night -Unlimited Blade Works-, and the Fate/Stay Night -Heaven Feel- movies are a good way too. If you wanna see the Fate route animated then you’ll have to watch the DEEN anime which isn’t regarded highly. If you don’t mind lolis then Prisma Ilya is an option. It’s probably the most divergent from Fate’s main “meta lore” but people seem to like it. I didn’t watch it myself.
I don’t recommend Apocrypha because it’s not good. Only watch if you’re really desperate for more Fate stuff. The F/GO OVA Fate/Grand Order -The First Order- isn’t worth watching because it’s pretty boring. The Fate/Grand Order -Moonlight Lost Room- you need to watch after completing all the Orders in F/GO because it spoils stuff from them and, also, serves as a prologue to the Cosmos in the Lost Belt “chapter” of F/GO (currently, only the very start of it is available).
I’d put off watching Fate/Extra Last Encore or playing Extella until you’ve played/watched a playthrough of Fate/Extra because both reference/spoil plot element’s of OG Extra (and you can’t really understand some of what’s happening in Last Encore without the context of Extra).
I’d recommend the animes over the VN at least for everything but the Fate route but really if you play the Fate route you might as well finish them all.
As far as why there are so many Saber faces. It’s because Takeuchi (Co-founder of TM) is a creepy otaku who I’m pretty sure has mandated that all series include atleast one saber-face in any official type-moon series.
TL;DR: Play F/GO for the best entry way to Fate. Watch Fate/Zero, or Fate/Stay Night -Unlimited Blade Works- anime if you wanna watch anime. Don’t bother with the VN unless you wanna read. Or play the Extra game > play Extella > watch Last Encore.
