Currently those SAM files are being considered to possibly be fakes in the file codes designed to throw players off. He recently said his Spiderman t-shirt did not mean samurai, but rather refereed to Spiderman's origins. So Blue-mage is possible, though I personally want Puppetmaster (White webs, white strings, it's possible.)
I highly doubt they left files in solely to throw off players. It’s possible, but unlikely. And, it’s not like there isn’t other evidence;
-The Rising Event 2015 said that RDM and SAM would be in the next expansion. Yes, Yoshi-P did say that wasn’t 100% accurate but he, and the dev team, have lied before (See: Housing, Dark Devices Nerf). That, and he could have been referring to the other parts of the dialogue (which talked about going to the moon, and underground).
-Zenos is undoubtedly a samurai. A Samurai with a gun sheath but a Samurai none the less. And, starting with Gaius SE has so far had all our major Garlean villains be representative of the tank class (Gaius = Paladin, Ragu Sauce = DRK). And, it would be fitting if, we only got two classes this expansion ,Tank & DPS, and if next expac they continued that trend but heal/dps, so we get our GUN AXE wielder.
No, because the cut scene files for SAM are in the game files. It litterally says “job_SAM”. Right under “job_RDM”
Due to leaks we know it’s SAM. I mean if we’re getting at least 3 classes then BLU is still a possibility but unlikely at this point.
So, the fact SE refers to casters as “Ranged Magic DPS” makes me wonder if they plan on giving us non-ranged magic DPS.
