The people who made despicable me are going to make the mario movie…so are they gonna make a new cashgrab mascot or will they just use toad?
Theyre going to insert Minions into the movie somehow. After all, we’ve got Rabbids in a Mario game already.
Now… is this an all new Mario movie or a continuation of the live action movie? Cause that would be interesting too
No, you see, they’re gonna do both. They’ll have Minions x Mario (probably a short) and then they’ll have either some new obnoxious mascot character or mascotify Toads. Why would they pass up the opportunity to double dip on Merch? They’ll have Minions & Mario merch and whatever obnoxious side-character appears in the movie!
As for your latter question; I don’t think Nintendo wants to pretend the Super Mario Bros live action movie doesn’t exist even harder then a Tsukihime fan pretends that there was never a Tsukihime anime.
