karethdreams said: My wife made one for our cats using twine and a heavy duty poster mailing tube. Used hot glue to attach the twine at the bottom, wrapped the tube tightly with the twine then glued it at the top, then glued it to a piece of scrap wood. It was cheep to make and easy to rewrap when the twine gets too shredded. We rubbed a but of catnip on it to get them to start using it.
