You mean the one series where it’s explicitly stated that most of the cast isn’t Japanese. Where the fact one character being japanese is a plot point?

I remember the big WOW COOL SO DIVERSITY GLAD THIS WASN’T WHITE WASHED about the live action FMA movie when it was announced, another series that’s got no Japanese in it but an all Japanese cast. FMA has analogs to every kind of European, multiple different middle eastern cultures, and Chinese, but no Japanese whatsoever but that didn’t stop anyone from being impressed.

The japanese-made FMA & AoT moves get away with it because they’re made in japan by japanese people for japanese people. I kinda doubt japan even has a big enough non-japanese actor base to even consider not casting all japanese people for the movies (not to mention the typical casting actors because they’re popular for the sake of them being popular).
