Running around Eorzea always makes me feel kinda sad because, while 1.0 was a gigantic shitshow, I can appreciate what it tried to do and what we lost in 2.0.

Man, Eorzea as a huge seamless open world would be fucking amazing. Imagine hopping on your chocobo and flying from one part of the world to the other w/out loading screens (or miles and miles of dead zone). And, with the sky and seas you could do so much cool area exploration.

I don’t hate 2.0 for being what it is it just makes me sad because the world in xiv is so pretty it’s a shame we don’t really get to explore it
