My mom wants me to apply to work at a dollar store nearby but like… I’m doing so well with commissions and she won’t listen to me at all. :(

If I remember correctly you live in the state’s I think. I’m no expert, but a job would provide a source of income on record for the IRS. And I think it plays a role in renting or buying a home as well. So though it might not be all that beneficial from a financial stand point. It might go a long way in helping future you.
