Even insanely awful artists can make a lot of money, like Transmorpher D.D.S. It's all about how you market yourself. You're a great artist, you just don't bring anything special to the table. All you really do is pretty vanilla fanart. If you offered something like tutorials, catered to niche fetishes, do doujins or a comics with your own characters you'd make a lot more money.
AnonymousI ain’t worried about how much money I make. I do pretty well with commissions (it’s just I’m really bad at managing money) my patreon is more of an extra thing.
And I have plans for the new years for some projects to do more then just fanart but I can’t say anything rn because I haven’t got it all figured out.
if you're looking for a good starting point for Lovecraft reading I'd recommend "Dagon" first. It's not terribly lengthy and it serves as a good introduction to the mythos without hamfisting a bunch of L O R E into the story

Lovecraft has a very... deliberate? style which is good at forming ideas and images in your head, but not the best for characterization, which is understandable considering he wrote short stories and it was much more about the events than the characters. He does a good enough job dealing with making good believable characters for the era and his exploration of the concepts and themes of Cosmic Horror are amazing IMO. All in all, dry writing that tells the story well.
