Made a new brush and I wanted to test it out so here is some messy ass fanart of Arenvald showing out favorite elf nerd how to swim
Zenos is the only one who actually came back from the dead. Gotetsu not being dead was obvious immediately after Doma Caste and Yotsuyu not being dead isn’t too surprising if Gotetsu survived it (even if I don’t like it or where this plotline is going).
And, I’m glad Zenos is back because in 4.0 he really felt like he was supposed to be a villian that was supposed to follow you throughout the 4.x patch series.
I’m sure we’re gonna see some death in the later parts of this patch because I have my doubts SE intends to keep Zenos into 5.x and Asahi triggered atleast 100 million deathflags with his little outburst.
Fordola is also knocking on death’s door.
It’s because he got what he wanted and he knows that the WoL can’t do anything about it (and he REALLY hates the WoL so -10 to rationality). Hein even says that they have to go along with the plan even if he’s an evil shit because otherwise he risks leaving all the captured Domans stuck in imperial work camps till they die.
They can’t really plan anything because he holds all the cards at this point including important trump cards such as the fact Zenos isn’t dead and that the prisoner exchange is his idea. It’s one thing if it’s an angry Zenos zealot who’s rage is apparently aimed solely at the WoL; It’s a complete other thing if it’s Zenos who is puppeting them along.
The plan wasn’t his plan, but was Zenos’s judging by some of his final dialogue (unless I’m misremembering). Which Zenos definitely doesn’t want peace and if anything is just using this as an excuse to put the WoL in a position where they’d have to fight again.
Well, that’s the whole point. He was bullshitting the whole time saying flowery bullshit and praise to get on our good side in order for his plan to work. He didn’t mean any of it really.
I wouldn’t be surprised if his shit about the garlean goverment being split wasn’t a load of shit either.
I’ve had problems with Lyse’s general existence since her reveal and Stormblood did nothing to alleviate said concerns, or retroactive implications.
Nor did Lyse offer anything unique that actually made there own retroactive murder of Yda meaningful at all. If fact Lyse was surprisingly Yda-like (aka Air-headed).
It also kinda takes the wind outta Papalymo’s death somewhat too because it was & will always be “Papalymo & Yda” and having a duo be seperated by death is a lot more impactful then…having a girl who was pretending to be another girl from a duo separated.
I actually kinda think Aliseae’s inclusion into the MSQ (which didn’t really add anything to the overall narrative other then some more jokes at Alphinaud’s expense [which is another rant in & of itself]) might have been the cause of Yda’s demise as she clearly takes the “younger sister” role to Lyse’s “big sister” role in their relationship.
Which would mean both Leveilleur twins have have been the indirect (meta) cause of blonde Ala Mhigan females demise each.
Uh. Did you forget where Nero literally says that Halicarnasus and Exdeath are from a story that is likely based on events that happen in the fourth astral era? And even in my original post I say it may be a mirror (i.e. similar events to FF5 while FF5 still remains in it’s own seperate universe) due to the fact that the Hali of FF5 is a male and the Hali of FFXIV is female (in both her incarnations).
Even if my theory is wrong and that both Halis are not related FF5 is still canonically a story that exists within the FFXIV universe.
