The Omega of FFXIV and FFV are one in the same, however the events of FFV did not occur within the same setting. Omega is an interdimensional being that travels from "star" to "star", as midgardsormr explains; who had encountered Omega before and is also not native to this star. AnonymousUh. Did you forget where Nero literally says that Halicarnasus and Exdeath are from a story that is likely based on events that happen in the fourth astral era? And even in my original post I say it may be a mirror (i.e. similar events to FF5 while FF5 still remains in it’s own seperate universe) due to the fact that the Hali of FF5 is a male and the Hali of FFXIV is female (in both her incarnations).
Even if my theory is wrong and that both Halis are not related FF5 is still canonically a story that exists within the FFXIV universe.
