Kattarah Sword

• Dated: 19th century
  
• Provenance: Oman (with a German blade)
  
• Measurements: overall length 103 cm
  

The sword features a straight, flat, double-edged, German, blade with a triple groove at the base. The grip is finely covered with leather bands decorated with silver filigree. The sword has a big, rectangular pommel with round top, a wooden scabbard with leather covering, finely decorated with bas-relieved floral motifs and silver mounts richly decorated with floral and geometrical motifs.

An Edda Appreciation 

This just reminded me… When we were shown the footage for The Palace of the Dead, there was a figure that they zoomed out on toward the end and there was the laugh or whatever it is that was with it…

I am still holding out hope that it is Edda making a return!
